BEST ACCESS SYSTEMS
Indianapolis, Indiana
1
Overview
.
The B.A.S.I.S.® G System provides an integrated solution
for managing access control at university dormitories.
†
The system’s guest housing features make it possible to
program a lock at installation and then issue access cards
to students each semester or each year without
reprogramming the lock.
Components of the B.A.S.I.S. G System
The primary components of the B.A.S.I.S. G System are:
■
B.A.S.I.S. G Mortise (35HG) Locks and Cylindrical
(93KG–95KG) Locks with integrated card readers
■
B.A.S.I.S. software application, to be run on a PC and
used to:
—
define programming information for locks
—
track information about cardholders
—
issue and encode cards
—
perform other management activities for the
system
■
B.A.S.I.S. Transport software application, to be run
on the B.A.S.I.S. PC and on a personal digital
assistant (PDA), and used to:
—
program B.A.S.I.S. Locks
—
retrieve history information from locks
—
perform diagnostics activities for locks
■
magnetic stripe card encoder and/or smart card
