Chapter 4. Communication
Connecting
Introduction
The Unitech PA960 allows users to link to a host computer via RS-232,USB, IrDA,
or RF connection for data communication.
This chapter provides an overview of the communication of the PA960. The
following subchapters cover these topics:
RF Communication for details about wireless communication between
mobile PA960 and host computers.

Microsoft ActiveSync” for details about serial communication via RS232/ USB
port.

Docking Station
Plug the RS232 end of the communication cable to
the PCs 9 pin Com Port and the other end into the
Cradles RS232 Port. Plug the Power Supply into
the Power Receptacle on the Docking Station.
Serial or USB Cable
Plug the RS232 or USB end of the communication
cable to the PCs 9 pin Com Port and the other into
the PA960 RS232/USB/Charging Port (see page 3).
Plug the Power Supply into the Power Receptacle
on the RS232 or USB plug.
